Amendment 18:
Located just over the river from Manhattan, on Staten Island’s Bay Street, Amendment 18 (formerly known as “Dock Street”) is situated within the Historic Edgewater Hall. Built in 1876 as a Vaudeville Theatre, the event space also hosted the Bechtel Brewery in the late 1890’s, and served as a speakeasy throughout the Prohibition of the 1920’s, during which time it was frequented by both the Vanderbilts & Barrymores.
In the decades since, this venue has hosted musical legends spanning the rock, jazz and hip-hop genres, including: Jefferson Airplane, Dr. John, Buster Poindexter, and Method Man, and has remained a popular filming location for many television shows and movies.
Take in the music at Amendment 18, one of NYC’s authentic speakeasies and storied performance halls!
